Bengals VS. Steelers
Sunday, November 15th, 2009
Reigning NFL champs the Pittsburgh Steelers are taking on division rival the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers have seemed to struggle against practically unworthy opponents this season but if you looked at there roster you wouldn’t expect it. With star receiver Hines Ward lining up any incomplete pass could be called a pass interference because he can catch just about anything and also like i said about Julio Jones of Alabama hes a great blocking receiver. On the other side of the ball they have monster of a safety Troy Polamalu enforcing what goes down on the field. Troy has made bone crushing hit after bone crushing hit causing offensive players to fear him, but hitting isn’t his only forte he has made great interceptions like the one handed scoop in the picture Troy in arguably the best safety in the league.
Alabama’s sophomore running back Mark Ingram is on the fast track to be the 2nd sophomore to win the Heisman(2nd to only Tim Tebow) and his game against Mississippi State made it apparent . Ingram isn’t one of the flashy dashy backs that is afraid to take or dish a nice lick. Ingram has juked out a good bit of opponents but he has mostly just ran them over. Ingram is the #1 RB in the SEC with 1,297 total yards but its not just the total yards that impresses me its the 85 yards after contact per game. That is what earns him my respect I mean if you can get hit by SEC defenses and still gain more and more yards that means you got guts. I say Mark Ingram should win the 2009 Heisman.
